Issy-Les-Moulineaux, April 5, 2022 – Reinforcement of security, development of collaborative tools, simplification of the experience… Microsoft is lifting the veil on the new features integrated into Windows 11 to support the transformation of the world of work and respond to new needs of companies and their employees.
The “Zero Trust” approach to cybersecurity in the age of hybrid working
While cyberattacks are not a new phenomenon, the level of attacks experienced over the past two years has been unprecedented. These cybersecurity risks are now at the top of business leaders’ concerns, as revealed by the latest edition of the Work Trend Index. In this context, Windows 11 incorporates the principles ” Zero Trust which reinforce the security of access to resources and services.
To fight against phishing attacks, Windows 11 is equipped with the functionality Defender SmartScreen, which identifies them and alerts users. Windows 11 security is also enhanced with the Pluto Security Chip, designed to block attack vectors that are used to compromise PCs. Finally, Setup Lock allows a company’s IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards on employees’ professional devices, thus preventing any procedure for adding, modifying or deleting keys and the registry.

Increased employee flexibility in a more inclusive and accessible environment
At a time when hybrid working is taking hold, Windows 11 is enriched with new features:
- File Explorer adopts a system of tabs to allow employees to organize themselves better.
- Focus Session improves the efficiency of employees with the possibility of setting a duration to accomplish a task and a possible break.
- Live captions convert the audio played on the device into text, to better understand the spoken content.
- Voice Access offers a wide range of voice commands that replace keyboard, touch and mouse inputs. For example, it will be possible to use voice to type and format documents, control a device or enter text.
To go further, Microsoft is also introducing new AI-powered collaboration features such as automatic framing, background blur and voice clarity.

Microsoft Endpoint Manager enters a new era to simplify IT service management
To provide a simplified and easier experience, the new feature Windows Autopatch automates updates for Windows, Microsoft Edge, and Office. A feature that is accessible at no additional cost, via the Windows Enterprise E3 subscription.
Simplicity is also central to the design principles of Windows 365, which combines the power and security of the cloud with the versatility and simplicity of a PC, to allow teams and organizations to gain agility and efficiency. With its zero-trust architecture, Windows 365 for business makes it easier to solve security challenges by designing, storing, and securing information in the cloud, not on the device.
Azure AD Join support for Cloud PCs, one of the most anticipated features by customers, will be available next May. Finally, Microsoft will soon offer new integrations that include Windows 365 Switch, Windows 365 Boot and Windows 365 Offline.
