The Windows App Store has improved dramatically over the past year. Rudy Huyn and his team’s work is getting noticed in the Microsoft Store and we can already see how they are polishing the smallest details. This time there are two new features for the Insiders of the Dev channel which received Build 25236. Let’s see what these new features are.
What’s new in the Microsoft Store in Windows 11
Windows Insiders running Microsoft Store build 22210.1401.x will see the improvements listed below. A few new features that improve the way you work with the Microsoft Store.
- Discover and use the offers available with your new device: They made it much easier for us to discover that our device came with digital offers (Office, Game Pass or independent games) and that we can use them.
- Improved search map results when scrolling: Optimized the design and rendering architecture of search map results. To provide a much smoother scrolling and resizing experience, especially on low power devices.
As you can see, these aren’t big improvements, but they do demonstrate Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to improve its app store. The Microsoft Store is healthier than ever, and the Redmond giant doesn’t want you to lose that good tune.
The topic of new devices is particularly interesting. If the Microsoft Store can make it easier for us to access existing promotions, it will be much easier for us to use them and take advantage of the offer.
