The new model accompanying the Series X and S consoles retains this heritage while bringing some new features, such as the Share button or an even more effective grip on the back. A successful design
Microsoft has listened to its millions of users for the design of the Xbox Series wireless controller. The result is a controller that takes the good points from earlier versions and adds some welcome improvements. A little more compact, it will no longer be as difficult to handle for small hands. In addition, with sculpted surfaces, the grip becomes excellent.
To prevent the controller from slipping during your sessions, Microsoft has embedded non-slip materials on the triggers. The analog sticks received the same treatment. We feel a nod to another excellent controller from the house: the Elite Series 2. Now, a D-pad takes the place of the traditional directional cross.
A true playmate
You have two options for playing with the Xbox Wireless Controller. Wireless mode is via Bluetooth. With this mode, the autonomy of the device is 40 hours. The wired mode goes through the USB-C port, of which a 2.7 meter cable is supplied with the controller. New thing, you can easily share on social networks your exploits and performances thanks to the new Share button. However, you cannot benefit from this function for the moment on PC.
In addition to the USB-C port, this model has a 3.5mm jack as well as a proprietary accessory port. The device weighs 272 grams with the official battery, unfortunately optional, against 241 grams without the battery. What is also interesting is the fact of being able to play with the same controller on other media: Windows, Android, iOS and of course the Xbox ecosystem.
