Microsoft France inaugurates the 3rd Microsoft AI School by Simplon with La Manufacture des Talents Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand – News Center

Microsoft France and its partner Simplon inaugurate, on November 16, 2022, the 3th promotion of the Microsoft AI School by Simplon in Clermont-Ferrand, in partnership with La Manufacture des Talents Michelin for the first time. With the support of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Pôle Emploi, the project already brings together six partner companies: Michelin, Capgemini, Accenture, Logiroad, Apside, Exakis-Nelite, to support 16 jobseekers in their training thanks to the digital.

Since September 26, 2022, the Microsoft AI School by Simplon in partnership with La Manufacture des Talents Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand has welcomed 16 learners for 7 months of intensive training followed by 12 months on a work-study program. The training, inclusive and professionalizing, accessible without prerequisite of diploma, aims to obtain the RNCP Title level 6 of “Developer (se) in Artificial Intelligence”.

The school is housed within La Manufacture des Talents Michelin, which supports learners in strengthening their “soft skills” and behavioral skills, as these are increasingly decisive in the recruitment process and in the dynamics of performance. of team. Thanks to group sessions and individual coaching, learners will notably improve the presentation of their background and their skills to gain conviction and ease.

La Manufacture des Talents also invests in improving the language skills of learners by providing them with the platform reserved for Michelin employees. Unlimited access to content, educational activities and group lessons is offered to them in 12 languages, including English, to improve their level and enrich their profile.

6 work-study recruiting partners operate in the artificial intelligence sector

Michelin, Capgemini, Accenture, Logiroad, Apside and Exakis-Neliteall partners of this training, will welcome from May 2023 the 16 learners for the work-study phase which will last 12 months.

This new promotion is characterized by the diversity of its profiles, in terms of age but also background. Thus, Kaiwushaer, 26, holder of an equivalent diploma in nursing and who arrived in France in 2017, is betting on artificial intelligence to start a career in digital technology. Vincent, 27, after having worked for several years in interpreting, wishes, for his part, to retrain in development professions closer to his professional aspirations. Sophana, 40 years old, after a first experience in web development and IT maintenance, is developing a new field of technical skills within the School. Finally, Elida, 31, holder of a Master’s degree in Health Biology and a license in Clinical Psychology, sees in the School an opportunity to reconcile her initial training and her passion for programming.

The Microsoft AI School by Simplon – La Manufacture des Talents Michelin responds to issues related to technology, skills and the possibility of occupying jobs in demand in a changing economy. According to the OPCO Atlas, more than 7,500 additional AI and Data Science specialists could thus be sought by the branch by the end of 2023. Digital technology in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is also proving to be one of the pillars of the regional economy, representing 4% of jobs in the region.

Training in skills and new digital professions is a major challenge to which Microsoft France is responding with the opening of these schools. Since 2018, more than 1,000 learners have been trained through programs operated with Simplon.

The objective is to train nearly 1,500 learners by the end of 2023.
