Guido Lemeire joins Microsoft – ICT news

The former CIO of SNCB will hold the position of industry leader National Critical Infrastructure at Microsoft.

Earlier this year, Lemeire had resigned from his position as CIO at Ypto and SNCB, a decision which he himself described as ‘one of the most difficult to take in my career’. In the railway sector, he put the digital transformation on the rails and thus wanted to make the right strategic choices in the face of future liberalisation. His background and his role helped him win the title of Data News CIO of the Year in 2020. Before being active at Ypto in 2017, Lemeire had already worked nine years at Telenet. In 2011, he was for some time also CIO at Mobile Vikings.

Now, he joins Microsoft, where he will use his experience for the National Critical Infrastructure department.
