Expansion adds new gateway to Montreal and increases ExpressRoute capacity in Toronto

ExpressRoute access system in its TOR1 digital edge data center with speeds of up to 100 Gbps.

The latest expansion adds an Azure ExpressRoute access gateway to Cologix’s MTL7 digital edge data center in downtown Montreal. This facility is connected to Montreal’s main carrier hotel in Cologix’s MTL3 digital edge data center via a multitude of dark fibers and to 10 additional Cologix Montreal data centers in the metropolitan area. Additionally, capacity has been increased to the current Azure ExpressRoute access gateway at Cologix’s TOR1 digital edge data center located at 151 Front Street in Toronto, the largest carrier hotel in Canada.
Cologix now has ExpressRoute access gateways, which support private connections to Azure, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365, in four Cologix data centers located in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto. In addition to these new additional access gateways, in Montreal and Toronto, Cologix has existing ExpressRoute access gateways at a second Montreal location, at its MTL3 digital edge data center and at its edge data center digital VAN1 located in Vancouver’s main carrier hotel.
