(Agence Ecofin) – In order to receive skills to better manage their activities, entrepreneurs in sub-Saharan Africa can apply for a short training course on the creative economy. Online training offers beginner, intermediate and advanced level courses.
The British Council, in collaboration with Microsoft, has launched registration for an e-learning program on the creative economy. This aims to help young African entrepreneurs in the creative economy sector acquire business management skills, as well as opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing.
The program is aimed at young entrepreneurs from sub-Saharan Africa between the ages of 18 and 35. Those who will be selected will receive training according to their level. Three levels are offered, namely: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The beginner level allows learners to acquire the basics of the African creative economy and the development of the brand image from case studies.
With the Beginner course as a recommended prerequisite, the Intermediate course will provide additional depth to the Basic courses. It includes topics such as: personal and business growth strategies, entrepreneurial strategy and raising capital. The advanced level, on the other hand, provides relevant information to political actors in relation to the creative economy.
The courses will be delivered in the form of short interactive workshops centered on entrepreneurship to help them in their professional endeavours. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the program. With this certificate, they will be able to request continued support through coaching, incubation, mentoring and acceleration through the work of organizers in participating countries.
Along with taking place online, the training will also be held face-to-face in Zimbabwe. Only entrepreneurs from this country can apply for this face-to-face session.
Online registration continues until November 25, 2022.
